I haven't written anything in a while. This is my first effort in some time.

My skin hurts.
It is strained and stretched.
I have swallowed too much,
too much pain, misery, and hate.
Memory grinds it away
but leaves the sludge.
There is no relief
or release.
The meals are long forgotten.
I am still full.
