Captain

this is a poem about control and discovering that you are truly you're own master.

I'm the captain of my ship
although it may be leaking
I'm the master of my house
even when it's creaking

I'm the queen of my castle
only my throne to sit on
I'm the author of my story
reality, drama ,or sitcom

I'm the player of my game
whether win or lose
I'm the breaker of my heart
my love is mine to choose

I'm the teller of my fortune
I control my fate
I'm the one who decides
what I love and what I hate

my life is mine and mine alone
not to follow  but to lead
what I have learned along the way
I'm the only hero that I need.
