A dream can turn the unreal into reality
Emotions and feelings burning up inside
With no room to escape in this judgemental world
So I lay down at night and make them all come true

A dream can turn deep pain into happiness
Hurt and anger once dwelling in my bones
Driving me insane and into a state of madness
Now I can flee to a place of sanctuary

A dream can turn mere friendship into love
Passion and desire for you aches my heart
Longing for that special moment to die for
Your body and mine can now become one

A dream can make a poor man rich
With hopes and aspirations of a better life
His aims in sight like a fixed target
No one can stop the achieving of greatness

A dream can take me to an enchanted paradise
On a lonely island far away from this life
Where I'd never have to fear the enemy death
Or feel the pain of hate and loneliness

A dream can create a world just for me
Where every want and need will be fulfilled
Then deep satisfaction will engulf my soul
