I scream

For those moments in life when the screams are so loud they are silent.

Lonely drips from my veins
Fear seeps through my pores
Anger flows through my body
Sadness lives inside my soul.

I scream for help
But only I can hear
I weep for sanity
But only I see the tears.

It's a battle I don't want to fight
A war I did not wage
I don't have the energy to keep going
I don't have the strength to end it.

I scream to end the silence
But no sound escapes my lungs
I weep for peace
But it never comes.
