Waiting For Perfection

He contemplates his next wave the sun glistens off its frothy crest. The cold, numbing his legs but he isn’t even feeling it. His mind is off in the water, waiting for perfection. It’s just beyond the horizon, waiting. Waiting for the perfect moment for him to catch it and ride it into his glory. Waiting for the perfect moment where he is on top of the world. Sometimes the dream is perfection, not the wave.
