Finally a poem that rhymes...
“Kiss In The Rain”

I want to see you from far away,
And run trembling into your arms--
To feel your skin beneath my touch
To set off heaven's smoke alarms.

I want to kiss you in the rain;
The all-time passionate kiss--
To feel the softness of your lips,
Wet like the morning mist.

I want to feel your heart speed up
To beat in time with mine--
To feel the deep warmth of your breath
Send cold shivers down my spine

I want to gently touch your hand;
And run my fingers through your hair--
To watch everything melt away,
All your worries, fears, and cares.

I want to hear your whispers low
As you fade slowly into sleep--
And wonder what you dream about;
I hope somehow it's me.

I want to close my tired eyes
And feel you kiss my ear--
To tell you that I love you so
But you're not really here.

I want to wake up from this dream
And remember how it was--
To think about the fun we had
All the kisses and the hugs.

I want to see your smile come back
To rekindle the flame--
I want to see it in your eyes;
To feel like you love me again.

I want to set off smoke alarms
And kiss you in the rain.
