My reflection of September 11th 2001, ten years later.
It was a time of economic boom.
It was a time of American bliss.
It was a new millennium, a new president, a new world.

That morning the earth shook,
The fate of the world altered.
We are invincible, how could this happen?
A plane crashed into a tower only to be followed by another.
Why did this happen, how could one people suffer so much in one morning?

A hijacked plane on its way to the capitol must be stopped.
True heroes did not cower under fear for their lives, they only feared for their country.
They saved more than a building, but the memory of a day of horror.

Ten years later the memory still burns.
America has changed… the world has changed.
None have forgotten where they were, what they were doing or whom they lost.
Movies made, stories written, songs sung, but nothing matches lasting memories.
Life moves on despite that terrible day, and as a nation we are united, we are one,
we are the United States of America.
