Ambition

Do you hide in the closet?
Are you under the bed?
Are you in the bathroom?
Surely not in my head!

I've heard much about you,
I do wish we could meet!
Many other folks have you,
Are you under my feet?

Why can't I find you?
I have searched so hard.
While I'm sitting here waiting...
Could you send me a card?

I need to get busy, 
But I can't by myself.
Won't you come out of hiding?
Are you up on a shelf?

Guess I'll sit here and wait,
Soon I'm sure you'll appear!
I'll try to be patient,
I just know you are near!

Where are you ambition?
Won't you make yourself known?
I've so much to do...
As I sit here and groan.
