Lovely Whispers

A poem I entered into a school contest to represent love. Kind of about puppy love.

At times like this where it's only me and you
and we can't see any of the others
because they don't matter when we're together
when we are rolling with the music and rocking this way
shut out from the world although it's so close
always together every part of the day
and when nighttime comes like you know it does
we're looking at the same moon, wishing on the same stars
forgetting all our problems 'cause it's only me and you.
At times like this I guess what they say may be true
that when you're in love everything seems rosy
so let's just let it be, let the feeling stay
let the moment last, because you know it's not always this way
though we may want it to be
so let's just be here together, let's just be you and me.
