Some questions asked of the Bisbee, Az librarian in preparation of moving there.

I am seriously considering moving from Flagstaff, (an O.K. town), to Bisbee, (a very groovy town). I love your town and have since growing up in Douglas about 40 years ago. The library building is, in my opinion, a work of art, and I have often imagined myself doing some writing, people watching, or daydreaming, while sitting up there on the veranda. I'm a certified expert daydreamer, and proud of it. There are just a couple questions I would like to ask, if you can spare a moment: (1) Do you allow a person to sit out there on the second floor veranda while drinking a cup of coffee? I love coffee and have purchased many cups of the stuff at that coffee-shop just across the street in what used to be the Phelps Dodge Company Store. (You might be interested in knowing that I delivered Shamrock Dairy products to that store back in the summer of '70.) (2) Do you allow people to sit and write, either inside our out on the porch? (3) Do you still have a card index I can use to find the books I need, or has the system been computerized? I like using a nice, old, card-index, don't you?
I look forward to hearing from you and, even more, I look forward to actually living there in Bisbee. I will come in the library daily to write, enjoy the scent of thousands of books, or maybe just exist in the moment. It will probably be a combination of all three. A self-addressed-stamped-envelope has been enclosed for your convenience. Although I use a computer for my writing, I don't do much in the way of email.

P.S. Let me know if you'd like photos of our cats. Maybe you might post them in a spot where people could admire feline beauty. Do you know of anyone in Bisbee who teaches guitar to adult learners?
