We could live that love song—
trusting in you trusting in me.
But for now, it's only a shadow in my memory,
following me and hiding me
from others that could be
and should be
the love song in my life.

But I can hope,
we can hope
the barriers of land
won't keep us apart.

But I know,
and you know
time keeps ticking,
and life moves on.

Will you come back to my arms
and dance to our song,
or live life away
in a land unknown,
only a hope away
in your silent love song?
