Being a mother has so many advantages, one of them being the chance to see them grow.

I woke up this morning to sun filled skies,
And there you were lying next to me,
You kissed my face and put your fingers through mine,
And I realized just how blessed I am.

And I heard a tiny voice whisper “Momma”,
She wrapped her little arms around my neck and kissed my face,
And I realized just how blessed I am.
I woke up this morning to sun filled skies,
And he looked at me, beautiful blue eyes and handsome baby face,
He wrapped his arms around my waist, I leaned down, and he kissed my face,
And I realized just how blessed I am.
I woke up this morning to sun filled skies,
A growing boy now, his voice deepened as he said ,”Mom”,
He wrapped his strong arms around my neck and kissed my face,
And I realized just how blessed I am.
I woke up this morning to sun filled skies,
And I stepped out the door to the world racing around me,
The day couldn’t end any faster, and I rushed home back to those loving arms and sweet kisses,
And I realized just how blessed I am.
