Writer's Cramp Entry
|Mojo, loving wife, mother and friend to many has departed the earth today, November 2, 2011 for destinations unknown. Her life was full of joy, fun and hearty laughs. She was just good enough, she was just bad enough and always enjoyed a good, loud party with her family and friends present.
It was her deep desire and dying wish that a funeral party be held in her honor, complete with her favorite A$$-Kickin’ Margarita’s and extra large bubble wands. This weekend, Nov. 4-6, please join her family and friends on the dunes of Grayton Beach, FL to celebrate the woman who knew how to live her life with gusto. For your entertainment, her favorite band, Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefers, will be present all day Saturday to bid farewell as her cremated remains will be deposited into a hand-made, signed and numbered Patron Tequila bottle and set to sea for, yet again, destinations unknown.
Prompt:In honor of Día de los Muertos today I invite you to write YOUR obituary. It's an age old writing prompt, and can be a fun and/or interesting exercise.
Imagine you have the chance to write your own obituary before you die - what would you want it to say about you, your life, etc.? It can be funny or serious. Whatever you choose, make sure you just write the obituary itself as it would appear in a newspaper, without any additional story to it. Just your obit. But of course leave out your real name (maybe use your WDC handle or username instead), your real address, etc. or any other identifying information in order to protect your privacy.
