Tender Love

A short rhyming poem about the love between a cat and dog.

The cottony cat cuddles up
beside the protective 'lil pup.
She curls her tail and falls asleep;
pup lies still, sounding not a peep.

In one moment both will arise,
then pounce the other or remise;
as partners they play, always sweet
loving each other but discreet.
