A poem influenced by constantly listening to depressing songs. |
| Love unrequited is like The falling petals Of a cherry tree - Apparitions set free. Forgotten upheavals. T'will soon diminish From the fabrics of the mind. A broken heart's wish It never did find. Love unrequited is like A child's affection Towards his own parents - Filled with rejection And excommunication. He will grow in solitude, Seeking senseless gratitude And leave the world alone; Seemingly lived with fortitude. Love unrequited is like Being burnt at the stake: Slowly, mortality comes; Agonizing, wishing it all a dream, But you never wake. |
