The words of a child
forever silenced
The words of the innocent
forever ignored
Allies rise up
as enemies are made
to help one man make a change
In this day and age
when acceptance is rare,
who will aid the helpless?
Who will lead the way?

One man
A lawyer and a father
takes a stand
against discrimination
and tries to understand,
who his kids are
and how to live a life
where no mockingbirds
are ever harmed

Alas, a man, he stands alone
forced to walk this broken road
Among the citizens of the country
an unlikely hero hears the pleas
Saves the day,Helps the lawyer
Then goes back, to his quiet demeanor

The words of a child

This man did
not silence nor ignore
He aids the helpless
He leads the way
Then makes everyone understand,

It is a sin to kill a mockingbird
