A poem about people who say they can have anything, and about peace in the world.
|Under deep blue skies on this blue-green orb –
For us to live in peace and co-exist
In harmony remains a crucial desire of the many,
Amid an endless fabric of human casualties
And graceless forbearance.
But whether entirely hopeless or well within reach,
The dreams we so rapturously envision imply an oath
To the most lazy and faint-hearted optimism;
Brandishing a mediocre philosophy
Of mind over matter shall likely devour us,
And not instill the desire or passion for pursuit
Of these engaging and coveted dreams…
