A poem a wrote about being VERY DIFFERENT from the students at my college |
| I'm wild I'm a bird of my own feather I flock alone I let my feathers flourish To help me fly away Away from this close minded cage That only sees colors of their own Black and white, white and green I'm the flamingo amongst doves and crows I stand out and above Here in this foreign land of separatism I choose not to be the rumor He said she said I SAY DIFFERENT! YOU KNOW NOTHING! My head will not be hidden in the sand Nor tucked behind my wings! I am beautiful! I am strong! I am wild! I refuse to become your Percieved deceptive version of me! I will not be the parrot for your truth-less gossip! I am not like you... I will fly away. |
