Escape for a child in pain
Morning light soothes the darkness of night,
a young child looks on in wonder.
The fantasy land that unfolds to her sight,
no evil can tear it asunder.

She'll run through valleys with the beautiful deer,
then swim with the trout in a stream.
Climb the towering mountain no sign of fear,
pleacefully sleep in a glade to dream.

Escape to this forest of beauty and peace,
she can race with the wind on high.
Gently glide like a bird, emotions release,
from a drug riddled life - she'll die.

No more can be done for this child in pain,
she's told they can't save her life.
But her forest fantasy she will always retain,
her belief of somewhere - nil strife.
