It cannot be more abrupt
than I have allowed
Misgivings askew
running wild
like shell-shocked love
I surrendered to none
In futility I second-guess
If tragedy will manifest
If chaos unfolds
a formidable circumstance
A bridge we will burn
from unbridled ambivalence
