Urgings of Spring prompted this prayer from a pagan
THERE WAS A BIT OF HOPE TODAY
CLOUDY AND GREY ALL OVER THOUGH IT WAS
A FRESH SPRIG OF GREEN PUSHED PAST THE CLAY
SPRING BREATH SURGING THROUGH WINTER GAUZE

CLOUDY AND GREY ALL OVER THOUGH IT WAS
MY HANDS TOUCHED THE EARTH,      CARESSING
EACH ROUGH SOD
SPRING BREATH SURGING THROUGH WINTER GAUZE
JASMINE, TOMATOES, LIVESTOCK FODDER,      GIFTS
ALL FROM OUR GOD

RENEWALS OF GROWTH, EARNEST PRAYER FOR RAIN
MY HANDS TOUCHED THE EARTH,      CARESSING
EACH ROUGH SOD
BLESSINGS OF UNMATCHED BOUNTY,    PROMISES
WITH EACH GRAIN
JASMINE, TOMATOES, LIVESTOCK FODDER,      GIFTS
ALL FROM OUR GOD

MY HANDS TOUCHED THE EARTH,      CARESSING
EACH ROUGH SOD
A FRESH SPRIG OF GREEN PUSHED PAST THE CLAY
JASMINE, TOMATOES, LIVESTOCK FODDER,      GIFTS
ALL FROM OUR GOD
