Burning

This is my view on anger.

I walk in the shadows, I take no part in life.
I do not fear physical beings, or pain.
I feel the darkness shielding me, protecting me.
But then like lightening it hits me.
It fuels me, I feel it running in my veins.
I feel ignited, it slowly begins to burn inside me.
My body begins to feel electrified.
I gain strength I never knew I had.
A dark force clouds my mind.
I see only my target.
My body numbs, and I strike.
With no humanity left I embrace the demon inside me.
It empowers me.
As events play out, I stand aside and let this creature reek its havoc.
Once it disperses, and I am left with the coldness  I begin to feel it.
The hunger for it to return.
I yearn for its powers once more.
I then see my humanity slipping away, and with it so is my heart.
