Cliches to be avoided written in limericks. |
| There was once a fantasy writer Who had an idea come and just bite her Of dragons and elves And dark demons’ own selves Using all of the clichés inside her! She had a Chosen one, of lost royalty born To save the world from a gathering storm Of politics and untruths Due to the chosen one’s virtues Leaving his True Love dramatically forlorn This writer abused all her commas Her sentences ran on… (and on at ya) Her spelling was a curse Her grammar was worse But her vocabulary simply enormina! She wrote a prologue, then a prophecy too Made Myst’cik Lang’uage from syllable stew Then for good measure Semi-sentient evil treasure With a grand two dimensional Evil Wazoo. Non-human races act just like folks Everyone speaks one language, but cannot tell jokes Technology frozen in time But anachronisms are fine And horses are cars that eat oats This was all written down as I’ve said it Yet bad writing is much to be dreaded So please avoid cliches Do your research, it pays, Lastly authors, remember to edit! |
