If I stay
just one more day
will you take my soul away
my life has been filled with sorrow
and I am tired of waiting for tomorrow

If I stay
just one more day
will you take my pain away
I am lost on this lonely road
I need someone to take me home

if I stay
just one more day
will you promise not to betray
I have been double crossed to many times
and I have not yet learned how to lie

oh, if I stay
just one more day
will my memories be in vain
I have tried so many times
but I have always stood to the side

if I stay
just one more day
will you take my soul away
my life has been filled with sorrow
