The moon crests just right, showing revered angel through shadow's dim light, a sight pure and blissful. Showing revered angel, no man can deny or be himself boastful, only magnify, through shadow's dim light, the angel that seeks him. He tries with all might, a caring cherubim. A sight pure and blissful, speaks of salvation. Tells him he is able: for Christ has risen. A Quadrilew Poem. Alternating syllable structure: 5/6/5/6...6/5/6/5... Rhyme scheme is abab. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lines of first stanza are used as refrains throughout the poem. |
