Flows of an ocean current
Sail me along the path
An unnoticeable desire
Wants you as my own

As i drift even closer, your scent
Smelled, along whispering winds.
My heart begins to flutter, hands tremble
I feign for your touch wrapped around me.

Your shadow begins to appear
My eyes search for the rest of you
Smile appears across my face, then it fades.

The other shadow appears
My heart catches flame
Her hand entwined with yours
Something I never want to see again.

The drifting stops, my hurt expressed
Through cold winds along
The water's path
My heart put to rest.

You were snatched away
Into another's arms, never to be with me again
Now I sail against flows of a burning heart.
