A funny Poem about a true event that occured in West Virginia.
There was a small town, ‘twas named Gadd.
It was the only town that these guys had.
They came and they went
Now I’ll give you a hint.
Something happened to them oh so sad.

West Virginia said, “Here’s what we’ll do.
We need land that’s belonging to you. (It is true!)
Dear Sir and Madame,
We need a new dam.
If you move, we’ll name it after you."

So the people of Gadd moved a lot.
And the dam is now here on that plot.
But for naming it hence,
It was voted against
And now Summersville Dam marks the spot.
