My once upon a time started out some years ago

When I pretended I was fine with taking blow by blow

When putting on a mask was part of the scene

And dreaming of happiness wasn't considered mean



My once upon a time started like every other book

But much more details added if you care to have a look

When princes had the courage to take on dragons and much more

And princesses where more than just beauty for all to adore



My once upon a time started out so colourful and so bright

But every day someone comes along and take away a bit of my fight

When will this nightmare turn around to slap me through the face

And give me someone special to fill this empty space



My once upon a time story is nothing like a fairytale at all

It's more like ring around the roses but only I take the fall

Where is my fairytale ending, the one of witch I hope and dream

When will I finally wake up with a smile instead of a scream
