A brief poem about a state.
Pennsylvania
by Tristan Weiland

Nowhere town
Nestled all alone between two highways
Quiet streets
Still as a praying mantis on a flower
Kind neighbors
Walking down the quiet streets
State maps
Barely even show this nowhere town
How charming small town life can be

Steel city
Three rivers flood the street with prosperity
Big city
Just outside the nowhere town
Loud noise
Car horns and gunshots in the steel city
Out west
The last big city before Ohio

Liberty bell
Brotherly love rings through the streets
Eagles soar
Over courthouse steps and mighty rivers
Freedom rings
Out from the cracks in that old bell
City pride
The eagles always love you back
Everyone's proud to be born free

Wise state
From Amish farms to Superbowl rings
Old tales
America was founded here
Warm love
Three-mile won't drive us from this wise state
Gettysburg
Just one place to find those old tales
There's more than enough love to go around
