Would that be such a big deal?

Your friends were created
from your weird imagination
All your enemies you hated
were made without explanation

Your mother never made
you a birthday cake

for that three-pound steak

All that hard work of meaning
to study never existed
And all that cleaning
your lazy bum never resisted

That song that's ringing in your ears
you never loved
All those deep inner fears

What if what you're reading with your eye
