I had a life, a good one, too
Until I saw it rip
I had to stay and watch it die
It made my ego slip

To see my future stripped from me
Was too much of a weight
I leaped and threw a reckless grab
But it was way too late

My life fell over and it shattered
Right before my eyes
My past and present, loved ones, friends
And all my truths and lies

I watch my favorite things get burned
My privileges stripped
I watch my friends get dragged away
My flying wings get clipped

I'd hate to see this happen ever
