Everyone wants something special for their birthday. Here's a little boy's wish.

A Youngster's Birthday Wish

Please Dad, please!
Can I have a puppy?
I like our fish,
but you can't pet a guppy.
We have a nice yard
and he won't bark too loud.
I'll teach him some tricks
that will make us all proud.
I'll give him my spinach
if he needs extra food.
He will sit in the house
so we won't think he's rude.
My birthday is next week
so what do you say.
Can we go to the shelter
and look at puppies today?


Note: I know you don't give dogs spinach but the little boy didn't.
