Dangerously in Love

A poem about a fearlessly passionate love affair

We have gazed upon the same sun
And the same moon since the beginning of our time.

We've wept salty tears flinging prayers at a bitter moon
at the darkest hours of the night.

We have sighed summer breezes on winter days
and groaned thunder at cloudless skies.

We've kissed ... wildly kissed death
for the chance to watch  stars dance before our dreamless eyes.

We have moaned raindrops during desert storm
and snatched angels clear out of flight

We are daredevils baby ...
Oh yes we are,
Daring God to show us his light.
