somewhere it is midnight
somewhere stars
are shining down from cloudless skies
are beacons burning bright
signal fires
guiding lonely hearts to love’s prize

somewhere it is morning
somewhere birds
greet poets and the new born day
with their joyful singing
inspire words
inspire lovers’ of light to pray

somewhere it is sunset
somewhere clouds
are transformed into scarlet veils
are natural vignettes
pleasing crowds
of artist painting evening sails
