Laugh and Smile

A little depressing, but true for some.

I try and do it everyday,

Laugh and smile my pain away.



My friends are blind,

They do not see,

The person they know

Isn't me!



I crouch behind my wall of shame,

But all I have is me to blame.



I disappear all day,

I hide myself at night,

I just cannot let them know

That I am not alright.



I hide my bruises and my scars,

I can't escape these prison bars.



I want them to know,

I want them to care,

But to lose them all?

I wouldn't dare.



So I'll try to make it one more day,

And laugh and smile my pain away.
