A poem about the pursuit of happiness |
| I am looking for happiness Somewhere under this heated sun Lies the blessed oasis I know it But where shall I look I am not the only one on this quest I am not the only one who has tried And those who have tried before Were more qualified to find it than I And still, they failed Where Where is it Where does this world reside And how do I get there My throat grows parched Beneath the sun And I grow desperate in my search As the sun begins to set And the light blows out on this desert But I will not stop In darkness, I tread In light, I will run For days on end, I will search every grain of sand Even if I have to turn the desert upside down To find it I am looking for happiness And I will never stop Though the quest continues And the body grows old I will never stop I will never stop |
