A poem about one of the signs of the impending Apocalypse |
The mighty whales and Leviathan Stump their fins upon their final hour; As Saints and angels look down from heaven God, in His wrath has ignored man’s prayers. The world looks with vehemence and terror As God drains the oceans and the deep blue seas In a colossal vortex, the waters Recede, exposing all the oceans’ mysteries. Ghostly galleons and their motley crew Shall rise again from their watery graves The deep and all it hides will be within men’s view As an angry God dances on the waves. I’d rather die of some horrid disease Than caught alive in God’s Apocalypse. © Mary Aris, All rights reserved |
