Illusion

When you try really hard to love someone but still the spark will not come.

I tried really hard to make you be
The person that completed me
My heart willed for it to be true
But my brain can't help but think that person is not you

There are so many things about you I want to love
The way you stoop down and kiss me from above
The soft features of your face
The way you hold me in a tight embrace

But my heart never skipped a beat
And you never swept me off my feet
It was all an illusion it was not real
I wish I could change the way I feel
