Playing stickball, mitts in tow,
A towering fly, to touch ‘em all,
Watching teammates go-go-go… 

Basketball, soccer, Monopoly;
Checkers, chess, and Life –
Swimming, volleyball, ever free,
From the world’s pain and strife… 

Children, the best of everything –
Hooping, hollering, and playing… 
Love to make them laugh and sing,
With friends forever staying! 

One of life’s eternal truths,
Our children, never done; 
The sweetest thing, these cherished youths,
Having loads of fun!
