Sometimes all we need is to get away

He closes his hands over me.
Tightly, letting nothing in,
This is where I'm meant to be.
In the dark I find that I’m not scared
Because He is there
Talking to me, protecting me against them
The cruel and spiteful
He draws me away when He knows I need time,
He lets me recuperate.
Passionate and truthful are his whispered words,
It makes me weep and shake.
A peace so overwhelming puts me in a deep, dreamless sleep,
I am calm like never before.
I am ready to face what may come to strike against me
I am rested firmly
In the arms of my beholder who loves and protects me
Carefully, and beautifully he molds me
In his eyes, I am everything that is precious
My heart, he heals and makes whole
Silently he adds to my little light
All things eternal is mine because of him
Before my eyes he places glasses
Through them I see what he sees
The beauty that he made just for me
He will not let go prematurely
He promises me a Haven time after time
And I return often here to my Rock
