Just a funny little poem.
The anxious chicken hid from the butcher

That heartless man with the will to slaughter

All it wants is to be left alone

To avoid the dreaded chopping stone

Then the chicken hatched an idea

To procure a group of chicken militia

The feathery force mustered their wits

To oppose the butchers’ stubborn grit

One night on his bed he heard a rustle

And the sound of fowls in a hustle

He stepped outside to see what it was

Then dozens of chickens fell from above

Over the edge of the roof they were coming

The violent attack sent him running

An so the creatures had saved their lives

Kept from mans’ plate forks and knives
