Shadows

Just a poem.

I'll never know why
Things happen to be so cold
I'm being followed too
I don't know where to go,
But I know I'm afraid
Afraid of you.

A shadow follows me,
Waiting for my weakest moment
Wanting to pounce,
An animal, waiting to kill.
A beast, wanting to see me cry
I will not die today!

A shadow follows me,
Wanting to kill me,
All you want is to see me cry
You want to destroy me,
A shadow after my might

I have my dignity,
I have my strength,
But the shadow wants it,
To get rid of it,
Playing games with me

A shadow follows me
Wanting me to fall away
All you want is for me to fall,
A shadow after my life.
