Ignorance

We give and we take
We hurt and we heal
We fight and we take flight
When we’re broken
We get put back together
Of course we have scars
Of course we have scratches
Never to be repaired
Never to leave
But we deal with it
The way we know best
Ignorance
Our Ignorance Stops us
Our ignorance keeps us
Our ignorance numbs us
Its ignorance we face
Day to day
Night to night
Never to change
Because we’ve lost sight
Our hopes and our dreams
Transfers to dust
Our love and our passion

Slipping beneath us
Fear over takes us
We’re heading below surface
We scream and we shout
But no one can hear us
They don’t care
We’re lost to be found
Not wanting to be found
We’re broken and sore
Tired of chaos
Tired of hate
We need to rekindle our hope
Reignite that flame
Take charge of ourselves, our thoughts and our voice
Use it to speak out above the crowd
Trying to be heard
Calling for help
Someone will come
We just have to wait
No one knows how long
We just have to wait
For our time to come.
To rise to power
We’ll take our throne back
With ignorance
