romantic love and the immediacy of God |
| Love to Love In silence now we know each other well; And we serve the stated purpose well, And never look for God-- For that is what we know Within each other's arms. The God that dwelt upon the mount, Like water, sinks into the sand; And He that seemed so awesome, Is a radience upon the land. And we shall never doubt this moment, Here, beyond the reach of time; We, the rhythmic beat of time, Shall not, for any multitude of reasons, Fail to say this is divine. For we understand. Without a word. No words are ever needed, And we know, We hold it, even in the midst of change; For this will never change. Our lives long past, Our memories descended into dust, And this moment, still, is here. |
