Refuse to Sink

Random poem I came up with today. I just jotted it down on a napkin.

Keep your head up darling
Then we'll drown a bit slower
but you should just see
how wonderful you are
before you sink
to the bottom of the glass
lets take a look at that
mysterious past
I guess we're even
and we've been through the same
cutting, starving, loving,
all of that joyful pain
I did it all for you
and my dreams that you'd see
that i actually thought there
was a you and me.
