When what it seems is not what is

Technical Writing


I have put my heart in a box
It sits on a moonbeam shelf
In a teeny corner of my soul
But you would never know
As I write and write
All day and night
Empty mechanical words
That leave my cheeks without blood,
My sky hollow and empty.

I collect stars but I have forgotten their light
