Euros, yen, dollars, or pounds,
Happiness or misery, it knows no bounds.
Some take it as part of their divorce,
Others are evil and take it by force.
Working hard we earn our credits,
Then overwhelmed by all our debits.
We try to monitor our daily transactions,
By the end of the month we self impose sanctions.
We worry over every single bill,
Tempers fray, we might even kill.
Staying solvent was our resolution,
Bankruptcy is now the only solution.
Freestyle poetry. Each stanza is a quatrain and I follow an AABB rhyme scheme.
