I found one of my old poems...

You don’t need to read my mind,
To see my thoughts.
You don’t need to be me,
To know what I want.

These tears were shed for you.
These cries were meant for you.
You broke my heart.
I always knew it from the start.

Can you see what you do to me?
You rip my heart from my chest.
Can you just let me be?
I want to figure out the rest.

I know, it is hard to hear,
But our love was not meant to be.
This is what I have feared,
The way you are hurts me.

These tears were shed for you.
These cries were meant for you.
You broke my heart,
I always knew it from the start.

Time and time again.
I heard the words “I love you”.
But these were lies that you have said.
I never meant my love to you.

I never thought this day would come.
The day I had to leave you behind.
So keep your loving away from
