| A penguin stands upon the ice, the Great Ross Shelf his home; he habitats the South Pole shores, far from the shores of Nome. A penguin stands in polar sun, a sun that shines too brief; and he abides as penguins do, upon his icy reef. A penguin is both black and white, and built to stand the cold; for icy winds his pure delight, through spans of time untold. Upon the ice a penguin stands, far from the warmth of day; a penguin standing on the ice, content in his own way. |
