Returning home to Writing.com |
| ODE TO WRITING.COM I’ve been away, too distant shores, seeking acclimation. Returning home, where memories lie, such a warm sensation. I have walked the sands of other sites, where writers vie for fame, Seeking those who yearn to read, fresh stories with my name. I have learned in surfing wide, that no matter where I roam, There’s no place like WDC, a site I shall call home. Sunlight, less bright, verging on the edge of night. Writing.com is the only place, the greatest writing site. Golden sand, my final stand, provides a sensual sight. No more surfing distant shores, in the middle of the night. I shall cut the bonds and move my dreams and bring them back with me, From other sites and distant shores, to my home at WDC. 131 words 12 Lines (Note: For those who do not know the meaning of this poetic work, I have been posting my writing on other writing sites for a while now. I have learned from this experience that the community of Writers and staff at WDC are gifts to cherish. I am pulling ALL my work from those sites and returning to WDC where I belong, a place called home.) |
